Scenario · attendance and safety

Absence Alerts the Same Morning

A school where registers are marked on paper, collected at lunchtime, tallied in the office, and where a parent finds out about an absence at the end of the week.

Illustrative scenario · attendance and parent alerts

Marked once

By app, biometric or RFID, depending on how the school runs.

Parents told the same morning

Automatically, by app, WhatsApp or SMS.

Patterns become visible

Repeated absence shows in reports rather than going unnoticed.

An illustrative scenario. This page describes how eSchoolApp is designed to work in a situation schools commonly describe to us. It is not a case study of a particular school, and the figures and outcomes a school sees will depend on its own size, processes and starting point. If you would like to speak to schools already using eSchoolApp, ask us during a demo.

What the morning looks like

The difference is measured in hours, and it is the hours that matter most.

Registers are marked

A teacher marks the class in the app, or students tap in at the gate by RFID or biometric.

Absences are identified

Anyone not marked present appears on an absence list straight away, with no tallying.

Parents are notified

An alert goes out the same morning by app, WhatsApp or SMS, without the office phoning each family.

The record builds

Every day feeds a per-student and per-class history that can be looked at any time.

Why the same morning matters

An absence a parent hears about at nine is a different conversation from one they hear about on Friday.

  • Parents know their child arrived without having to phone the office.
  • Registers stop being collected and tallied by hand.
  • Patterns of absence surface in reports instead of going unnoticed.
  • Staff attendance runs through the same system and feeds payroll.
  • The school knows who is on site, which matters more than a camera on the day it counts.

Common questions

Do we need biometric devices?

No. Teachers can mark attendance in the app with no hardware at all. Biometric and RFID are options if you would rather not use teacher time.

Can we use devices we already own?

Often yes. Tell us the make and model before you buy anything new and we will confirm.

How do alerts reach parents?

By app notification, WhatsApp or SMS, whichever your school prefers.

Does it cover staff attendance?

Yes, through the same system and the same devices.
